A Passion for Creativity Explored.

I had much pleasure in attending this workshop and hope that Peter continues to share his gifts in this manner. He brings his own special touch to the Arts.

A weekend Workshop exploring the theme ‘ My Creative Journey ‘ was held in Mount Gambier recently with great success. Presented by Millicent artist Peter Dunn, it was attended by eight participants at The Old Stables venue, a heritage listed building in Suttontown Avenue. Participants were from a variety of creative backgrounds and came from both Port Fairy in Victoria as well as various local towns. The workshop was supported by the South East Arts Society as part of its ongoing use of The Old Stables venue to promote workshops and classes of interest to many in the region.
With a background in both the helping professions and the creative arts Peter reports that his passion is in guiding people to explore and fulfill their creative potential.

Smart meter health surveys show striking symptom similarities

Stop Smart Meters Australia

Two recent studies into the health impacts of wireless smart meters show striking similarities, despite having been conducted independently of each other and on separate sides of the world.  One survey was conducted in the USA and the other, a peer reviewed study in Victoria, Australia.

Both reports list insomnia as the most commonly occurring symptom and, of the top 10 symptoms, the same 8 symptoms appear in both reports.  These symptoms include headaches, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), cognitive disturbances (memory, concentration, confusion), fatigue/weakness, dizziness, cardiac anomalies and neuropathy.

Steve Weller, Vice President of SSMA Inc., in an email to ARPANSA says, “If EHS was purely psychological as some experts suggest, it would mean that approximately 37,000,000 Europeans, 16,000,000 Americans and more than 900,000 Australians are suffering from ‘some kind of mutual mental disorder or illusion‘.  If we were really serious about investigating this issue we would conduct…

Buffy

The Port Fairy Folk Festival has now been and gone for another year.   I loved almost every minute of it, but the highlight for me was  attending the concert given by Buffy Sainte-Marie.  She is the most extra-ordinary woman, and gave a sensational performance – the memory of that night will live on for me…..

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI’m still living out of a suitcase…..  hopefully something more certain on my housing will be resolved soon.  In the meantime, life is very busy, hence my silences on here.  I’ve met some most interesting people, seen some great coastline, and learned about volcanoes!

Last week, while having to detour from my planned route due to road closure, I came across an old cemetery at Woolsthorpe and when I explored it, found this little treasure.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWhile visiting the Dunkeld in the Grampians later that day, Fred and I found a Labyrinth to walk.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFor now, I’ll leave you with this message, and hopefully catch up again soon ♥

More adventuring

Sorry for the long time between posts – it’s been a busy time and getting busier!  Fred and the cats and I are visiting Port Fairy once again – the annual Port Fairy Folk Festival is about to commence!

Each day brings new challenges/opportunities and I’ve lots to share with you once I’ve got a few more moments to spare.  Tomorrow morning I’m taking two lovely young Italian travellers up to Tower Hill, which is just up the road a bit, so they will have a chance to see lots of wildlife in one area.  Recently took an English traveller there, and he was thrilled with the place.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAnd here’s a teaser of a wonderful Icelandic pony I met at the stud’s open day.  These ponies completely stole my heart ♥  🙂
