It’s been a while since I posted last, partly due to internet issues, partly due to having taken an unexpected but pleasant short trip away. My first trip back to the city in almost three years!
And believe it or not, it made for a pleasant change from the cow paddocks….. 🙂 Fred had a good time also.
Still, back in the countryside, the change of season is becoming obvious, with frequent early morning fog. Perhaps soon there’ll be some mushrooms popping up – another good reason for an early start to the day. Get to the fungi before the cattle trample them! For now though, it’s moved around to cold winds and showers of rain for next couple of days. Almost time to start thinking about stoking up the wood fire…..

There’s always one braver than the rest! I haven’t done a lot of walking in this paddock since these youngsters went in, and so they are rather spooky, but given the change in seasons, I’m thinking we’ll see quite a bit more of each other.

On the other side of the world we’re just moving into spring. After a wet and chilly winter, I’m really looking forward to it.
I can well understand your desire for Spring Bryan- I think I’d be going troppo by now if I’d had to face that winter.
It’s funny – as we’ve moved into spring, we’ve moved into fog season, too. The warmer air moving over the still-cold water gives us lots of sea fog. But the trees are beginning to bud, and there are dandelions blooming. I suspect there’s much more beginning to bloom, but I haven’t been out and about much. This past week the weather turned delightful, and that meant it was time for me to Get To Work! Oh, my. I didn’t realize how out of shape one can get through a stint of bad weather!
Well I’m glad you’re able to put food on the table for her Ladyship again Linda! Just don’t overdo it – hasten slowly as they say 🙂

Autumn is a special time of year, the sun is low and you’ve captured the “look” beautifully, Eremophila! The pastures look so peaceful in the fog.
