Making Whoopee

Doing it.jpgf

Spring has sprung in my garden!  So it switches between lovely sunshine and wild storms and rain!  Found these two on one of the sunny days 🙂

  1. Love your ladybugs – although, now that I think of it, they can’t all be lady bugs. Or maybe their are lady ladybugs and boy ladybugs, or….

Oh, never mind! They’re cute. I have the shell of one that looks about the color of yours on the right. I found it on the leaf of one of my plants. I’ve had it for a couple of months now, and it just sits on a rock and looks cute. Maybe tonight I’ll get out the magnifying glass and have a better look.

    • Well Linda, we could just call them ‘bugs’, but then again, they’re not true bugs, but beetles! So let’s leave the gender issue alone, and simply enjoy them 🙂
I’ll be on the lookout for the progeny of these two….. and hopefully will be able to take a pic of them also. You’re lucky having a shell – very special!

  2. I laughed out loud when I scrolled down and saw the photo! They look like the Asian Ladybird which have been killing off native Ladybird species in Europe…another example of an introduced species going wrong.
