  1. Only one question – that looks to me like what we call an acorn squash rather than a pumpkin. The cut-ujp flesh in the recipe looks like squash, too. What do you think?

    • I’d never heard of an acorn squash before Linda, so I went searching… of course, your eyes were right on –
      I don’t believe I’ve ever seen it in Australia. Will keep a lookout for it though…This year I grew Golden Nuggets and also Jarrahdale. Both good keepers. Already I’m planning what to grow this coming season, and am pouring over the latest seed catalogue – at least here I have ample space to allow big ones to ramble. There’s a French variety “Galeux D’Eysines’ that’s catching my eye. And yes, I have a large pumpkin knife to deal with large critters like this! My cats (and dog) enjoy eating their pumpkins too:-)
