A view of and a view from Hallgrímskirkja, the largest church in Iceland. After the endless ancient cathedrals of mainland Europe (although beautiful) this modern church, started in 1945 and completed in1986, is a breath of fresh air.

  1. It is an immense structure filled with history, and pure silence when walk through the doors. It can be seen from almost any where around Reykjavik. Since there are more photos coming, I will not divulge what the interior is like!
